How to convert a video

Choose your output format (MP4, WebM, or MOV), then drop your video onto the box (or click to choose it). The converter loads once (~32 MB) on first use, transcodes in your browser with a progress bar, and gives you a Download button — no upload, no sign-up.

Which format should I pick?

Use MP4 for the widest compatibility across phones, editors, and social platforms. Pick WebM for smaller, web-optimised files that play natively in browsers. Choose MOV when you're handing footage to Apple apps like Final Cut or iMovie.

Questions

Is it private — is my video uploaded anywhere?
Yes, it's private: the conversion runs entirely in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm, so your video never leaves your device and nothing is sent to or stored on a server.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no fixed limit, but ffmpeg.wasm works in browser memory, so very large files (roughly over 150 MB) are slow and may exhaust RAM. Shorter clips convert comfortably; long videos are better suited to a desktop app.
Which formats can I convert between?
Drop any common video and choose MP4 (H.264), WebM (VP8/VP9), or MOV (QuickTime) as the output. MP4 is the most universally compatible; WebM is best for the web; MOV suits Apple workflows.
