Yes, it's private: the conversion runs entirely in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm, so your video never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded to or stored on a server.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no hard limit, but ffmpeg.wasm works in your browser's memory, so very large files (roughly over 150 MB) are slow and can run out of RAM. For long videos, a short clip or a desktop app will be faster.
What quality is the MP3?
We export with ffmpeg's high-quality VBR setting (-q:a 2), which is around 190 kbps — transparent for music and speech while keeping the file compact.
