How to trim a video

Enter the start and end time (in seconds) for the clip you want, then drop your video onto the box. The converter loads once (~32 MB) on first use, re-encodes just your range in the browser, and gives you a Download button for the trimmed clip.

Why re-encode instead of copy?

A fast copy-only cut can only start on a keyframe, so the clip often begins a second or two off. We re-encode the selected range so your start and end times are honoured precisely — worth the small extra processing time for an accurate cut.

Questions

Is it private — does my video get uploaded?
Yes, it's private: the trim runs entirely in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm, so your video never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded to or stored on a server.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no hard limit, but ffmpeg.wasm runs in browser memory, so large source files (roughly over 150 MB) are slow and may run out of RAM. The trim re-encodes the clip so it's frame-accurate, which takes a little longer than a copy-only cut.
How do I set the start and end?
Type the start and end times in seconds above the dropzone, then drop your video. The tool keeps everything between those two times and re-encodes it so the cut lands exactly where you asked, not on the nearest keyframe.
