Scaled amount = original amount × desired servings ÷ original servings. To take a recipe written for 4 servings up to 6, the scale factor is 6 ÷ 4 = 1.5, so 200 g of an ingredient becomes 200 × 1.5 = 300 g. Enter each ingredient's amount in turn, or use the recipe scaler to convert a whole list at once. Cooking times and pan sizes do not scale linearly — adjust those by eye.

Questions

How do I scale a recipe to more servings?
Multiply each ingredient by the desired servings divided by the original servings. Going from 4 to 6 servings means multiplying everything by 6 ÷ 4 = 1.5.
Do cooking times scale too?
Not directly. Ingredient quantities scale linearly, but baking and cooking times depend on pan size and depth, so check for doneness rather than just multiplying the time.
