Recipe Scaler
Paste a whole ingredient list and scale every amount up or down at once.
scale factor = 6 ÷ 4 = 1.5×
Every amount is multiplied by the scale factor (desired servings ÷ original servings). Plain numbers and fractions like 1 1/2 or 3/4 are both handled, and the units and ingredient names are left exactly as you wrote them. Quantities such as eggs are scaled mathematically, so round to whole items where it makes sense. Cooking times and pan sizes do not scale linearly — judge those by eye. Questions
How does the recipe scaler work?
Enter the original and desired servings, then paste your ingredient list. Each line's amount is multiplied by the scale factor (desired ÷ original), while the units and ingredient names stay exactly as you wrote them.
Can it handle fractions?
Yes. Amounts written as fractions or mixed numbers — for example 3/4 or 1 1/2 — are converted and scaled correctly alongside plain numbers like 200 or 1.5.
