How to convert audio

Pick your output format (MP3, WAV, AAC, or OGG), then drop your audio or video file onto the box. The converter loads once (~32 MB) on first use, transcodes in your browser, and gives you a Download button — no upload, no sign-up.

Which format should I choose?

Use MP3 or AAC for small files that play on virtually any device. Choose WAV when you need lossless, uncompressed audio for editing. Pick OGG for a free, open codec with good quality at small sizes, often used in games and on the web.

Questions

Is it private — is my audio uploaded?
Yes, it's private: the conversion runs entirely in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm, so your audio never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded to or stored on a server.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no hard limit, but ffmpeg.wasm runs in browser memory, so very large files (roughly over 150 MB) are slow and may run out of RAM. Most audio files are small enough to convert quickly; long lossless WAVs are the main thing to watch.
Which formats are supported?
Drop any common audio file — or a video, to pull out its sound — and convert to MP3, WAV, AAC, or OGG. MP3 and AAC are compact and play everywhere; WAV is lossless and uncompressed; OGG is a free, open alternative.
