How to watermark an image
Drop an image onto the box above (or click to choose one). Type your watermark text, pick a position and an opacity, and watch the live preview. When it looks right, click Add watermark and download the PNG. Nothing is uploaded.
Making a watermark hard to remove
Choose the Tile (repeat) position so the text is stamped diagonally across the whole photo, and set a moderate opacity so it's visible but not overpowering. A tiled watermark can't be cropped away the way a single corner mark can.

Is this watermark tool free?
Yes — completely free, with no account, no watermark from us, and no file-size limit. The watermark is drawn in your browser using the Canvas API.
Do my images get uploaded?
No. Everything happens on your device, so your image is never sent anywhere — it's instant and private, even at full resolution.
Can I control how strong the watermark is?
Yes. The opacity slider runs from faint (5%) to solid (100%), and you can place the text in any of nine positions or tile it diagonally across the whole image so it can't easily be cropped out.
What format is the output?
A lossless PNG, so the watermark and any transparency in the original are preserved. You can compress it afterwards if you need a smaller file.
