How to make a passport photo
Drop a head-and-shoulders photo onto the box above (or click to choose one). Pick your country/size preset, then drag to position your face and use the zoom slider to frame it. Click Make passport photo and download the print-ready JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
Framing it correctly
Centre your head and leave a little space above it; most authorities want the head to fill roughly 70–80% of the frame's height. Use a plain light background when you take the photo — the tool places it on white but won't remove a busy background.
Questions
Which sizes does it support?
Common official presets: US passport/visa 2×2 in (51×51 mm), UK / EU / Schengen / India / Australia 35×45 mm, Canada 50×70 mm, China visa 33×48 mm, and a US 1×1 in ID size — each rendered at 300 DPI so it prints at the right physical size.
Do my photos get uploaded?
No. The crop and resize happen entirely on your device, so your photo is never sent anywhere — important for something as personal as an ID photo.
Is the output really print-ready?
Yes. We compute the exact pixel dimensions from the preset's millimetre size and 300 DPI, and place your photo on a plain white background, so the downloaded JPG matches the official aspect ratio and print size.
Will this guarantee my photo is accepted?
It produces a correctly proportioned, correctly sized photo, but it can't judge head position, expression, lighting or background. Always check your authority's current rules — especially the required head size within the frame — before submitting.
