Questions

How big a number can it spell?
It spells whole numbers up to the quintillions using the short scale (thousand, million, billion, trillion, and so on), which covers essentially any everyday figure including large currency amounts.
How does currency mode read decimals?
Currency mode treats the part after the decimal point as cents, padding or trimming it to two digits, and reads the whole value as "… dollars and … cents" — the wording used on cheques and invoices.
How are ordinary decimals read?
Outside currency mode, the digits after the point are read one at a time following the word "point", so 3.14 becomes "three point one four".
