Fill the screen with solid colours to spot dead or stuck pixels. Click the screen to cycle colours, press Esc to exit.

Or preview a single colour without going full-screen:

A dead pixel stays black on every colour; a stuck pixel is locked on one colour and shows against the others. Cycle all five and inspect the panel closely. Runs entirely in your browser.

How to test for dead pixels

Click Start to go full-screen, then click anywhere to cycle through black, white, red, green, and blue. On each solid colour, look closely for any dot that doesn't match — a dead pixel stays black, a stuck pixel shows a fixed colour. Press Esc to exit.

Dead vs stuck pixels

A dead pixel stays dark on every colour, most visible on a white screen. A stuck pixel is locked on one colour and shows up against the others. Cycling all five colours makes both kinds easy to spot anywhere on the panel.

Questions

What's the difference between a dead and a stuck pixel?
A dead pixel receives no power and stays black on every background. A stuck pixel is fixed on one colour — red, green, or blue — and shows up as a bright dot against the other solid screens.
Can this test fix a stuck pixel?
It's a detection tool, not a repair tool. Rapidly cycling colours sometimes helps unstick a pixel, but there's no guarantee. Its main job is to make dead and stuck pixels easy to see against each solid colour.
How do I exit the full-screen test?
Press the Esc key at any time to leave the full-screen colour view and return to the page. On a phone, the colours still cycle on tap; use your browser controls to go back.
